Midland Equities LLC (Mideq) is an Illinois chartered company that is a privately held company. Mideq was formed in 2004 by Charles Hold and Joseph Jankovsky. We are primarily involved with the purchase of commercial real estate held for investment and funded by private placement programs. From our past experiences at large operating companies we know that the highest returns are generated by small nimble companies that can respond quickly to changes in the marketplace. Mideq has the depth with 20 employees that manage the portfolio of nearly $60 million in value.
Our core strength is in acquiring properties at below market values, managing the assets correctly, and adding value through methods such as property renovations, releasing programs and overall enhancements to the net operating income. Due to the oversight necessary we will usually limit our acquisition radius to 400 miles from Chicago. The parameters for our preferred acquisition will be commercial properties in a size range of 20,000 to 200,000 square feet of space. Acquisition criteria will also include the opportunity for value enhancements, appropriate demographics that will make releasing space profitable and certainly a location that has the potential for growth. • Utilizing every method possible to minimize the impact of income taxes on distributions
• Keeping our partners informed on a regular basis as to property operations
Mideq does not contract out any management and asset management responsibilities. We know that asset values and capital growth is achieved through attention to these areas of responsibility.
